About Us
Rachel Ngalo Foundation (R-N-F) is born out of the community’s desire of having a body that could help them engaging effectively in development activities in the region, specifically in Uriri Sub County (Kenya). The Foundation envisions a society in which each member, especially feminine, will live with dignity with equal access to society opportunities as ‘propeller’ of local and global economy and sustainable development. Its mission is to empower Girl-Child and engage them into sustainable and multi-sectoral rural development. R-N-F aims at promoting and encouraging girl child development with particular focus on, education, health, water and sanitation programmes, food security, environmental conservation and industrial development.
The project initiated by R-N-F will contribute in creating awareness to youngest and poorest girls in the rural Kenyans on the importance of achieving gender equality and empowerment of all women and girls as envisioned and realization of the Sustainable Development Goal 5 (Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls) with targets in the areas of ‘reverse the effects of early pregnancies and marriages. The project aims at capacitating through educational support and placement opportunities of girls and young women in Uriri Sub County.

Project
Brief Description
The project, being an initiative of R-N-F will be centrally administered at the Foundation level. It will be headed by a project manager who will supervise all the activities. Other officers will run affiliate departments that would include mentorship, training/career development, operations, publicity, outreach and administration. It will also have other related programs like widows’ empowerment, environmental programs, sporting activities and livelihood programs for the women and youths.
